Our Favorite Herbal Podcasts

herbal education

Herbal podcasts are a fantastic resource to help deepen our understanding of herbs and to get to know new herbal teachers. When I was first getting excited about plants, I subscribed to as many herbal podcasts as I could find and delighted in all of them. I was a voracious listener who found great satisfaction learning about medicinal herbs with my headphones in as I cleaned my home, commuted to work, and went for meandering walks.

To help you deepen your herbal learning, here's a list of LearningHerbs' top 6 favorite herbal podcasts...

1. The Herbal Highway

Primarily hosted by Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes and additionally hosted by Emiliano Lemus and Renee Camila, The Herbal Highways air on 94.1 KPFA at 1 PM PST on Tuesdays and can also be enjoyed as a podcast.

As the hosts describe it, "The Herbal Highway enhances the community’s knowledge of herbal medicine and alternative choices to standard medical practices for healing. In order to have balanced life, The Herbal Highway actively supports and promotes Indigenous land rights, protection of sacred sites and the sustainability of the Earth as integral parts of individual, community and global healing."

The Joy of Herbal Podcasts

Whether you're a seasoned clinical herbalist or a beginning herb nerd, herbal podcasts can help enrich your understanding of the plants and help build your herbal community.

Herbal podcasts also give you the opportunity to learn at your own pace and revisit any episode as you continue to learn. When I'm listening to herbal podcasts, I often find myself re-listening so I can soak up more of the incredible knowledge that the guests and hosts share.
