Whether you're just getting started on your herbal journey or you're a seasoned herb nerd, our blog is full of an abundance of free herbal remedies and recipes for you to make and enjoy.

Here are 7 of our favorite natural remedies and recipes...

1. Elderberry Syrup

Elderberry syrup is a classic herbal preparation that helps support immune function. Herbalist often use it to help prevent colds and flu and to shorten their duration at the onset. This elderberry syrup recipe combines elderberry with ginger and cinnamon, which also help support healthy digestion and circulation.

2. Fire Cider

Fire cider is another classic herbal remedy that can help support immune function. This pungent herbal vinegar remedy consists of apple cider vinegar infused with strong culinary herbs like horseradish, onion, garlic, and more. Rosemary Gladstar shares her traditional fire cider recipe here.

3. Dandelion Pesto

Pesto is so much more than a tasty condiment: this flavorful sauce can be a vehicle for some of our favorite herbs. You can stick with basil or you can try other common herbs dandelion, chickweed, oregano, parsley, and more.

4. Rose Petal Honey

Infusing honey with fresh herbs makes for a delicious treat to drizzle on oatmeal, pancakes, desserts, and more. You can also apply rose petal honey topically as a nourishing skin cleanser. Other fresh herbs I like to infuse into honey include lilac blossoms, ginger, and rosemary.

5. Herbal Salves

An herbal salve is an ointment that includes a combination of herb-infused oil and beeswax. Depending on what kinds of herbs you add to your salve, a healing salve can help support minor first aid situations (like mild bumps, bruises, and scrapes), rashes, muscle tension, and more.

6. Soothing Tea

Brewing a soothing tea to help calm the mind and body can be a wonderful ritual and remedy. A tea of chamomile, lavender, and milky oats is one of my go-to remedies when I feel stressed. Learn how to make tea like an herbalist here.

7. Cardamom Chocolate Mousse Cake

Finally, the best for last: a stunning herbal treat. This rich dessert is full of digestive and heart supporting herbs that also happen to taste delicious. This healthy recipe is always a hit at parties, and it's a great way to get your loved ones excited about herbs.
